Before you RSVP, please note that the Board relies on your registration to be sure we purchase enough food for all. At September's Meeting 214 members registered, but only 160 attended. In other words, 25% of the members who RSVP’d (54) did not show up! Only 10 of those 54 notified the Membership Director that they were unable to attend.The meeting cost was $20 per person and thus it cost the Club $1,080 for those absences in leftover food and drink purchases. So, please cancel a week in advance of the event if possible, before we must commit to our food purchases. Doing so will help keep expenses down and avoid an increase in membership dues.
Of course, there will always be reasons someone cannot attend at the last minute. We know plans change and it’s fine if you RSVP and then need to cancel. We’re just asking you to notify the Membership Director as soon as you know you won’t be able to attend.
